Where is "home" for you?
I live in Hudson Heights, located in Manhattan, New York, however, "home" is my parents
house in Cambria Heights (Queens, New York), which I nicknamed "The Kingsberry
Compound" after the Kennedy's place in Massachusetts.

What was your childhood like growing up in your neighborhood, and who was your
best friend?
Growing up in Cambria Heights was great! I liked rock music, so first I was the odd kid who
listened to "weird" music and always had headphones in her ears. I loved Cambria Heights,
I was very active in high school ..but my family spent a lot of time in Manhattan. Our
church was in Harlem and my father had a grocery store where he used my sisters and I as
cheap labor LOL. I had a posse Stephanie, Janice, and Charmaine, but my best friend was
Toni Chin....hey girl!

What were your high school career goals? Who was your greatest influence between
ages 13 - 19 years of age?
I wanted to be Carol Miller, she was female DJ for a rock station at the time. I always
wanted to be in radio!!!! My mom, dad, my sisters and my Grandpa Joe. My mom ALWAYS
stressed "to get your own" and if I wanted it, I had to work for it. My Dad showed me how
to be a hard worker. My sisters had style that I try to emulate and my Grandpa Joe was so
loving and spiritual. He taught us all how to be grounded.

What was your "AHA" moment? When did you discover you were successful? What
are some of your accomplishments?
My Dad's last stroke. It taught me to appreciate time with family... love and enjoy life. I
discovered I was successful when you asked me to do this interview. My accomplishments
my dual majors from Syracuse, living in Manhattan (always wanted to do that), garnering
park status for my community garden, and my career at WBLS.

What organizations/associations do you belong to and/or volunteer for?
I am a member of Progressive Baptist Church in Harlem, Coordinator of the William B.
Washington Memorial Garden in Harlem and a member of the North Manhattan Alumnae
Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Please lend an inspiring message and business tip for those who aspire to follow
your path of success?
You are not defined by your circumstances... Believe you are the catalyst for change and
have faith that with God all things are possible. Keep focus on your goals...visualize where
you want to be and write in down, clip pictures... anything that's going to keep your goals
in the forefront of your mind.
