My husband and I moved to Casselberry over 10 years ago from our home in
Oviedo. We love Casselberry…we love our neighbors. It's our home, and we plan to
be here into our retirement years.

As years passed, we were beginning to notice that Casselberry had not kept pace
with other communities. When driving through some of our neighborhoods and city
streets, we noticed a great deal of apathy. Neighborhoods were slowly
deteriorating and crime problems were increasing.

Other problems included multiple cars parked across front yards, overgrown lawns,
sidewalks were non-existent in some areas, and many sidewalks we saw were in
need of repair.

Our business corridor is a different story. There have been some improvements in
the past year. Since the last City election, there are some new leaders. Let's
continue to elect forward thinkers!

We still have old empty buildings; check cashing shops and pawn shops. Finding a
variety of good restaurants in this city is quite challenging. Most of our roadways
and businesses lack any great distinction or landscape appeal. Let's ensure the
people that progress will continue and pick up the pace!

Casselberry is ideally situated for road access and shopping convenience. It's time
for Casselberry to take advantage of its great location. Being in Seminole County
with A rated schools is wonderful for our children. But great schools and a great
location will not sustain our community.

Our city needs to embrace a new community spirit. Our city needs a new
VISIONARY leader… A New Mayor!
